In addition, we foster character development and build positive self-esteem in order to resist drugs, alcohol, and gang involvement. We encourage cultural awareness and team sportsmanship during after-school hours. Program activities include homework assistance and academic enrichment, sports, games, arts and crafts, and special events.

PRYDE Schools
PRYDE is a Mission Valley YMCA after-school program for students in third through eighth grades, offered in partnership with the San Diego Unified School District's PrimeTime program.

PRYDE Holiday Giving![]() ![]() The holidays were extra special for hundreds of kids and families, thanks to members and staff of the YMCA. Presents for kids, groceries for families, and other items were given to families in Linda Vista who need it the most. More than 1,000 presents, 500 food bags, 200 toiletries bags, and a holiday season to remember for 600 children in the Linda Vista Community! A million gratitudes to all of the amazing members who made a difference for people who really need the help during the Holiday season. Thanks, members, for your donations to the PRYDE Giving Tree. Your generosity provided more than students with a present this holiday season! |
