THE Y FOR

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We focus our work in three key areas, because nurturing the potential of kids, helping people live healthier, and supporting our neighbors are fundamental to strengthening communities.

YFS began in 1970 with the opening of Oz San Diego, a shelter for runaway and homeless youth. Over the past 40 years, YFS has added new programs and services in response to the needs of community members. YFS now operates programs that combine to serve over 40,000 individuals each year.
