“So you think you can Dance?” You can, if you take these classes from Vernetta and Fred of Vernetta’s Dance Studio. You get double the value with two teachers for the price of one. Great music, a beautiful hard wood dance floor and two fabulous instructors will have you “Dancing like the Stars” in a few weeks. Learn Salsa, Rumba, and Cha Cha along with Ballroom and Swing. Partner not required.

    Ages 12 to Adult

Beginners welcome. Capoeira is a martial art form integrated with dance, ritual, and live music. Experience this stimulation of exercise, dance and drums! Taught by the Capoeira Collective. Their shared experience and styles will offer you a wide range of knowledge and techniques upon which to build a foundation of expression. Wear workout clothing (no shorts) and bring
Capoeira instruments if you have them.

A martial art integrated with dance, ritual, & music.  While it is fascinating to watch for the intricacy of the steps, the velocity of strike and evasion, and the beauty of acrobatics, capoeira is also an important expression of music, tradition, spirituality, and wisdom.

Belly Dance!

Egyptian & Tribal Fusion

Egyptian:
Learn the basic Egyptian style steps to build a foundation for combinations and simple choreographies. Belly dance
provides a low impact cardio, toning, and invigorating workout while learning dance technique and dance vocabulary. The class is taught by Sabah, a certified Egyptian dance instructor and performer with the Glitter Dance Company.

Tribal Fusion:
 

Tara and Jule'sTribal Fusion classes promote a low impact dance form that is great for the core and and encourages good posture.

Classes begin with yoga-inspired stretching designed to increase strength and flexibility.

Taking into account student needs, classes will vary and introduce technique, postural alignment, unique movements, isolations, drills, layering, signature combos and stage presence concepts for performing.

Both Tara and Jules are performing members of the Urban Tribal Dance Company. Whatever your dance style, this class will add to your repetoire.

Please bring water and be prepared to sweat!
