Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program (land)
 
   

This is a land exercise program designed by the Arthritis Foundation specifically for people with arthritis. The program uses gentle activities to help increase joint flexibility, range of motion and maintain muscle strength. Classes can help reduce pain, stiffness and feelings of isolation and depression. Classes are conducted by trained and certified Arthritis Foundation instructors. A medical release form is required.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program (AFAP)

AFAP for adults is a recreational exercise program designed to accommodate the abilities of individuals with arthritis and other related diseases (each person exercises at his/her own pace). These programs are taught in a group setting with activities and exercises to encourage self care, provide social interaction, improve muscular strength, endurance and flexibility, maintain independence, manage pain and relieve symptoms of arthritis. You do not have to know how to swim. A Medical Release Form is required (Supplied in our membership office.)
