The fitness orientation is required for teens ages 13 - 17. Components include:
- An introductory evaluation by one of our YMCA Fitness Coaches allows your teen to be placed in the appropriate youth fitness level.
- Introduces teens to basic aspects of
resistance training. Teens will learn how to safely
perform a full-body strength routine and
will be educated on proper weight room
behavior and etiquette.
- Teens will learn how
to safely use the cardiovascular
equipment and how to properly perform
stretches.
Participation in the Teen Weight Room
Orientation requires program registration,
parental consent, health history and (if
warranted) medical clearance.
