COUNSELING

YMCA Counseling Services is a program of the San Diego County YMCA's Youth and Family Services Department. The program is staffed by experienced professional therapists and counselor interns. Counseling Services are offered in Spanish, also.

Individual, couple and family counseling for adults, children, teens and seniors. People frequently consult a
counselor for assistance with the following situations:

  • School behavior problems
  • Separation and divorce transitions
  • Relationship issues
  • Stress management
  • Family and marital problems
  • Anxiety
  • Individual life crisis
  • Parenting concerns
  • Grief and loss
  • Depression
  • Peer pressure
  • Step-family issues
  • Physical, emotional and sexual abuse
  • Family violence


DATES: Daytime and evening appointments are
available. YMCA membership is not required.

FEE: A sliding scale is based on family income. Victim of
Crime funds are accepted. Y staff and families get 20 percent discount.
