As a member of YMCA Adventure Guides, you will have the opportunity to develop a stronger relationship with your child by joining a unique crew with whom you’ll participate in activities like games, camping trips, fun ceremonies and family adventures. Throughout this journey, the Adventure Guide compass points — family, nature, community fun and the YMCA character development values — will provide a sense of direction and inspiration for activities.

COMMITMENT: One crew event with your small group per month with 8-12 other families; one large group event per month where all families enrolled will be invited. This program session runs October 2008 - September 2009.

Trailblazers is a fun and exciting program designed specifically for fathers or mothers and their sons or daughters. This group will have three major overnight trips and several one-day trips during each programmed year” (late September to the following mid-September). Trips may include activities such as overnight camping, hiking, fishing, and will involve travel to Catalina Island, and desert, mountain, and river locations. Each trip or day event will focus on developing new or advanced outdoor skills. Come discover what Trailblazers is all about.
